Introduction

Seodisias is a desktop SEO crawler and website analyzer. Privacy is a core design principle not an afterthought. This policy explains what data we collect (very little) and what we don't (almost everything).

Desktop Application

Seodisias runs entirely on your local machine. All crawl data, analysis results, and reports are stored locally on your device. No website data is ever sent to our servers or any third party. Your SEO audits remain completely private.

Website Analytics

This website (seodisias.com) uses Umami for analytics, a privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics tool. Umami does not collect personal data, does not use cookies, and is fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR. We use it solely to understand aggregate page views and improve the website experience.

Update Checks

The desktop application asks our server whether a newer version is available. That request tells us the app version, operating system, CPU architecture, interface language, and an anonymous installation identifier. Nothing else.

The installation identifier is a one-way SHA-256 hash derived from your machine identifier and an application-specific namespace. The raw machine identifier never leaves your device, the hash cannot be reversed, and it is not linked to your name, email, or account. It serves one purpose: telling us whether a thousand update requests came from a thousand installations or from ten. Without it we can count requests but not people.

We do not store IP addresses alongside these records. This request never includes your crawl data, analysis results, or any information about the websites you analyze.

What We Don't Collect

• Personal information (name, email, address) unless you create an account
• Website crawl data or SEO reports
• Browser fingerprints or tracking cookies
• IP addresses for tracking purposes
• Any identifier that can be traced back to you as a person

Third-Party Services

Application downloads are hosted on GitHub Releases. When you download Seodisias, GitHub's standard privacy policy applies to that download interaction. We do not control GitHub's data practices.
